Fuel Oil, also known as Intermediate Fuel Oil (IFO) or HFO (Heavy Fuel Oil), is widely used in the shipping industry to power ship propellers. It is categorized based on viscosity, with the commonly used types being IFO 180 and IFO 380. Our fuels adhere to ISO 8217:2010 specifications and Marpol Annex IV regulations. Depending on their viscosity and knocking property, IFO is further classified into sub-grades. The two most widely available options are:
  • IFO 380 CST - This is the most commonly used and readily available Fuel Oil with a maximum viscosity of 380 centistokes.
  • IFO 180 CST - Mostly utilized by older ships, IFO 180 CST has a maximum viscosity of 180 centistokes.
